Located in Haicang District, Qingjiao Tzu Chi Gong, also known as the East Palace, was built in the Southern Song Dynasty Shaoxing twenty-one years (1151).  It was built in dedication to Wu Zhenren, also know as"保生大帝" -the Lord who preserves lives. He was a famous doctor who used the local hot springs (the same hotsprings that flows in Riyuegu Hotsprings Resort), to treat the sick.
The palace is one of the twelve famous sites in Xiamen ,has strong historical and cultural importance and is protected by national agencies.

Xiamen Stone Chamber Monastery, dedicated to the Medicine Buddha, sits at the foot of Daimao Mountain, facing Lingjiu Mountain. Founded as a meditation chamber in 686 AD during the Tang Dynasty, it became a monastery in 925 AD. It underwent repairs or additions in 1065 AD during the Song Dynasty. In 1334 AD, Monk Huian rebuilt it into a renowned monastery. 

It was repaired in 1464 AD but fell into disrepair during 1465-1487 AD. From 1569-1571 AD, Monk Yunxuan renovated it, adding a Dharma hall, mountain gate, and corridors, making it look brand new.

The Temple has the King Hall, the Main Hall, the Hall of Duty Free, the Buddhist scriptures and other majestic architecture, the temple dedicated to Maitreya, Sanskrit Buddha and other Buddhist scriptures Collection of Buddhist artifacts rich and colorful, with Burmese jade Buddha, ancient bell, incense burner, copper Ming Dynasty Cast eight twenty-four arm Kuanyin Qing dynasty porcelain Jigong Living Buddha and a large number of Buddhist scriptures, the most famous are "Buddhist Tripitaka", "Japan Tripitaka" and so on.
